We talked with award-winning photographer Pía Elizondo about her latest work, Death is a Bride.
Pia Elizondo’s work cuts into the worlds she inhabits and into her daily life to recreate an often dark world. She talks of memory, oblivion, voyage, and the intimate. The image stands as an open door, as a mirror, and photography as a language that tells of the interior world of the photographer but also of the spectator. She has also pursued all through her career a reflection on the image in the image.
